Frame rubbing, extensive crackle throughout. Slight paint loss/discoloration along lower edge of canvas. 1/2 inch repaired tear beneath man's hand. More extensive crackle in left female's face and just below the man's hip. Slight buckling of canvas at mid center (in bureau). 5 small areas of repair, with patches and inpainting: lower left corner; lower right center; far right center; top center; lower right corner. Framed under glass. Areas of shrinkage of pigment - surface looks like elephant skin. 4 inch area of possible inpainting or cleaning at lower left corner.
