NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle's Fine Jewelry sale on July 23, 2026 continued to reflect the buoyant market witnessed throughout the season. Spirited bidding from coast to coast and overseas drove outstanding results, with the sale total surpassing expectations. This exciting sale showcased an array of sparkling diamond rings, as well as stylish jewelry by such makers as Asprey, Bulgari, Cartier, Gucci, Seaman Schepps, Zolotas and Tiffany & Co. and fine watches by Rolex, Piaget and Patek Philippe. Exciting opportunities abound for seasoned buyers and new collectors alike in this popular sale category!

The Estate of Shermane Billingsley, Heir to the Stork Club Legacy
Highlighting the sale was a whimsical diamond stork brooch from the Estate of Shermane Billingsley that soared over its estimate to achieve $28,800. From the 1930s through the 1950s, the legendary Stork Club stood at the center of New York’s social world, where Hollywood royalty, the wealthy elite, political power players, and international café society mingled under the watchful eye of its charismatic owner, Sherman Billingsley. His youngest daughter, Shermane Billingsley (1944-2023), grew up immersed in the glittering world of the Stork Club and became its devoted historian, spending decades preserving and sharing its legacy. The stork brooch sporting a black enamel top hat was a stylish tribute to the wit, sophistication and glamour that made the Stork Club one of the most celebrated nightclubs of its era (view lots). Additional jewelry was offered in Jewelry Online on July 21 (more).
