NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle's highly-anticipated Doyle+Design auction on June 9, 2026 saw competitive bidding drive outstanding results and a sale total that surpassed expectations. This popular sale category showcases a wide range of Modern and Contemporary furniture, art and design by prominent designers, makers and artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Tiffany Studios "Floral Bouquet" Chandelier
Highlighting the auction was a Tiffany Studios bronze and leaded glass "Floral Bouquet" chandelier, circa 1910, that more than doubled its $50,000-70,000 estimate, achieving an impressive $171,950 amid heavy telephone bidding. Property from a New Jersey Private Collection, the cone-shaped chandelier featured a continuous floral motif transitioning from lighter-toned blossoms on one side to richer, darker flowers on the other. This tonal gradation created a dynamic visual effect, animating the surface as the fixture is viewed from different angles.

Alexander Calder Lamp
From a Berkshires, Massachusetts, Collector came a rare circa 1940 Lamp by Alexander Calder that realized $76,700, surpassing its $50,000–70,000 estimate. Rather than concealing its construction, the lamp openly reveals its mechanics in a striking modernist form, blurring the boundaries between sculpture and utility. A rare example from Calder’s small body of functional household objects, the work reflects the artist’s engineering background and enduring fascination with structure, balance and the expressive possibilities of industrial materials.

The Collection of Whitney Robinson & Marc Karimzadeh
A special section of the sale showcased a second offering of stylish furniture, design and art from The Collection of Whitney Robinson & Marc Karimzadeh. In 2023, Doyle presented the first offering from the collection of former design editor and real estate developer and global brand consultant Whitney Robinson and CFDA Editorial and Communications Director Marc Karimzadeh.
