Broadsheet on laid paper, a military discharge document for "Henry Miller-Soldier" of the First New York Regiment, accomplished in manuscript in a clerical hand, and signed in pale brown ink by George Washington, 8th June 1783 as Commander of the Continental Army. "Head-Quarters" [Newburgh, New York], 8 June 1783. 10 x 6 5/8 inches (25.5 x 17 cm); 2 pp; also signed by Washington's ADC Jonathan Trumball, and the recording adjutant of the First New York Regiment (this signature illegible written). Fading to handwritten portions, usual folds with some losses, with paper restorations and silking, not affecting the printed portion, old tape at the extreme head of the document. Framed.
