Two illustrated leaves from an early printed book of hours, including a full-page illustration of the martyrdom of Saint John the Evangelist. Probably France, early sixteenth century. Two vellum leaves with hand-colored and gilt woodcut illustrations, borders, and capitals, with printed text. Each leaf approximately 7 x 4 ½ inches visible area. Framed together. Light rippling, one leaf slightly toned and with some staining in the corners, not examined out of frame.
