American calf. 8 1/4 x 4 7/8 inches (21 x 12.5 cm); xliv, 49-592 pp.; two folding tables in text, and with the 13 folding plates at rear. Rear board detached, loose but holding at front, wear, generally a clean copy inernally; together with a work by a work by FREIND, JOHANNE. Praelectiones chymicae: in quibus omnes fere operationes chymicae ad vera principia & ipsius naturae leges rediguntur. London: J. Bowyer, 1726. Contemporary calf, rebacked. 7 7/8 x 4 3/4 inches (20 x 12 cm); xvi, 177, [1] pp., for pp. ads; with dedication to Sir Isaac Newton. Light binding wear, slight staining to the first few text leaves.
