Theodore Roosevelt's African Game Trails in the signed limited edition

African Game Trails. An account of the African wanderings of an American Hunter-Naturalist. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1910. Copy #460 of an edition of 500, signed by Roosevelt. Publisher's three-quarters brown pigskin, in the paper dust-jackets, the card sleeves, and the original slipcase. 10 x 6 3/8 inches (25 x 16.25 cm); xviii, 268 pp.; xii, 269-530 pp.; folding map, photogravure illustrations after drawings throughout. The pigskin binding, which is unusually vulnerable, is in fine condition on this set, and the jackets have some toning to the spines but (other than some very minor fraying at the head and foot) these also are in excellent condition. The cardboard chemises have some wear and browning, with some separation to the folds.. and the slipcase is complete but worn and taped. The interior has some foxing, mostly to the page edges, to the beginning and end of each volume, but is generally this is a clean, unopened example of a work hard to find in original state.
