Spine quite toned, some soiling, wear to extremities, hinges cracking at endpapers; and PIM, BEDFORD. The Gate of the Pacific. London: Lovell Reede & Co., 1863. First edition. Publisher's blue cloth gilt. 8 3/4 x 5 3/8 inches (22 x 14 cm); xiii, [1], 432 pp., [4], 16, 8 pp. of ads; 7 maps (two folding), 8 colored, and one black and white plate. Some binding wear, short split on rear joint, some minor staining to margins of several plates.
