Notes:
This rare model is based on the Gothic choir of St. Vitus Cathedral in Praque, one of the most celebrated monuments of Central European architecture, begun by Matthias of Arras in 1344 and continued by Peter Parler from 1356. Models of famous European cathedrals were popular in the 19th century, serving both as educational pieces and as evocative mementoes for Grand Tour travelers.
