Group of large Civil War Battlefield Maps. Comprising: Map of the Field of Shiloh, Near Pittsburgh Landing, Tenn. Shewing the Positions of the U.S. Forces under the Command of Maj. Genl. U.S. Grant U.S. Vol. And Maj. Genl. D.C. Buell, U.S. Vol. On the 6th and 7th of April 1862, no date, a rare, separately issued map, 24.5 x 17 inches; and seven originally published in Military Maps Illustrating the Operations of the Armies of the Potomac & James, May 4th 1864 to April 9th 1865. New York: Julius Bien, circa 1869. Lithographed maps with partial coloring showing troop movements. Most about 32 x 20 inches or smaller. Includes: Richmond, from Surveys, 1867, puncture with small loss along fold; Cold Harbor from Surveys, 1867; Bermuda Hundred from Surveys, 1867, short split along fold; The Wilderness from Surveys, 1867; Petersburg and Five Forks from Surveys, 1867; North Anna from Surveys, 1867, this map smaller at 16 x 19 inches, tear to corner; and Spottsylvania Court House from Surveys, 1867. Usual folds, unexamined out of frames. The lot 8 frames.
