SMITH, GEORGE WILLIAM; after CASIMIR GOERCK. Two copies of the same survey, titled "Goerck's Map of Dyckman's Land West of Broadway," showing a parcel of land in Soho located on Broadway, Mercer, and Greene Streets, at their intersection with West Houston Street. "Surveyed and laid out into lots N. York August 3rd, 1793 by Casimir TH Goerck City Surveyor. Copied from the original by Geo. Wm. Smith, July 30th, 1831." Two manuscript survey maps in ink on paper with hand-color in pink and yellow, both laid down on modern linen. The larger sheet measures 16 1/2 x 21 3/4 inches. Both with uneven dust soiling, light toning, a few stains, closed tears, closed marginal tears, flattened creases, and later pencil annotations, the larger map with chipped edges and two long closed tears, the smaller map pricked for transfer.
