The shouldered body tapering to a flat foot, glazed with chestnut and blue vertical lines dividing chestnut and cream flowerheads on a green field, all terminating half way down the body exposing the buff pottery, the associated lid with chestnut vertical lines on a green field with buff dot patterning. Height 8 inches; Together with a Chinese Sancai Glazed Pottery Rhyton Cup. Tang Dynasty. The tapering form terminating in a molded dragon head, the sides with a molded raised design of foliate scrolling on a stippled ground, the glaze with dripped greens and chestnut on a buff field, the interior glazed chestnut. Length 5 1/2 inches.
