Document signed, as "Louis", secretarially engrossed on a single sheet of paper, Versailles, dated August 12, 1695. 14 x 8 5/8 inches (36 x 22 cm); about fourteen lines in French written in brown ink in a fine formal hand, signed by the King ("Louis"), docketed on verso. Some slight spotting, traces of old mounting on back of integral blank. Slits for a seal, minor creases, in all a fine example, framed with a portrait.
